Philanthropist Lauren Bush Lauren is the CEO and founder of FEED, a social business with a mission to create good products that help feed the world. Her mission? To help eradicate world hunger.

A World-Wide Problem

Lauren started FEED with mission of helping end world hunger because she was able to travel the world with the UN World Food Program. "I really understand the issues of poverty and hunger and how it unfortunately effects so many."

Approximately 795 million people are now hungry, which equates to one in nine people. The issue disproportionately affects children. "I've really seen it first hand. When kids are able to get the food and nutrition they need, especially if that's given in school, it really is a leg up," says Lauren.

FEEDing the Hungry

Lauren hopes that with that education, impoverished children can break out of the poverty circle they were born into. "I'm especially proud of our partnership with Clarins. For the last five years Clarins has been an amazing partner to FEED and together we have been able to raise nearly ten million meals in the last five years and we're kicking off right now a big promotion. In seventeen days we hope to raise 1.2 million meals."

The philanthropist hopes that this positive streak can continue. You can help by heading to your nearest Clarins counter (or Clarins.com) and purchasing Clarins skincare. You'll get a FEED 10 Pouch which she helped design. "For every free pouch we give we're able to give ten meals. So we really encourage everyone out there to be a part of this movement, part of this meal-giving solution and help feed kids living in the poorest countries in the world. Hopefully we will reach our 1.2 million meal goal and be able to give those meals to kids who really truly need them."
