Spending all your time and cash at the salon? Check out these new products that help keep your color glossy, bold and rich (in the comfort of your home).

Talking Trends

"Amazing things are happening this Fall in hair color," says hair colorist Justin Anderson, Creative Director for dpHUE. "A really big trend that's happening is women are taking care of their roots. Last year we saw a lot of ombr effect with darker roots and lighter ends, but this year women are taking care of their hair roots to ends, all over shiny, glossy, beautiful hair color."

"I've had clients complaining about not being able to take care of their roots at home or if they're traveling or on a movie set, says the colorist. In response, Anderson wanted to make a product that he could really trust, something super gentle. Enter the dpHUE Touch-Up Kit, a salon-quality, permanent hair color. "It's not for all over, we're just talking about the roots specifically. Women should not be a slave to the salon and have to go in every two to four weeks." It's great for gray hair regrowth, as it is for all hair colors.

Stop Stripping

Today women are steering away from over-shampooing their hair. "For years I've been telling my clients to not over-shampoo their hair to avoid stripping the natural oils, which create shine," he says. "Shampooing in general can also pull color out of your hair." So the experts at dpHUE created an amazing cuticle sealing product called the ACV by dpHUE, an apple cider vinegar product that cleans as well as conditions, all without stripping.

Get Glossy

Fall means rich, bold shades. But after you walk out of the salon with a glossy, fresh color, after a couple of weeks you're often faced with fading. "The ends look a little bit lighter and it's not as bold and rich," says Anderson, who created a product called GLOSS+ by dpHUE, which is an at-home, conditioning treatment that leaves hair soft, while adding pigment to refresh color. "This can stretch out the time between salon visits by weeks," he says.

Blonde Bombshells

"The Cool Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner is a purple shampoo and conditioner that helps to balance out and neutralize the brassiness in your hair," says the hair colorist. "If you have any unwanted yellow tones in your white blonde hair a purple shampoo is going to make it bright and bold again. It's a big deal for blondes because blondes always talk about how their hair tends to dull out after leaving the salon. This is a really great product for that." Use it about once a week like a treatment.
