Take it from the experts: Adding a few simple, quick and inexpensive tips to your pre-holiday beauty routine will yield some seriously gorgeous results.

See Clearly Now

Did you know that recent studies show that one out of four adults agree that reading glasses makes the wearer look a decade older? Perish the thought! The likely culprit for the offending eyewear, according to Beauty Expert Andrea Pomerantz Lustig, is presbyopia, a condition that causes the gradual loss of the eyes' ability to focus on nearby objects.

The cure? "My doctor recommended 1-Day Acuvue Moist Brand Multifocal Contact Lenses," she says, adding, "I can see clearly now no matter what I do, the lenses are comfortable all day. I had no idea what I was missing before. My world has really come alive."

Contact lenses require a prescription so head to acuvue.com to find an eye doctor near you who can determine if 1-Day Acuvue Moist Brand Multifocal Contact Lenses are right for you.

Tress For Success

Nothing can take years off your look more than the most flattering hair color for you. And now amping up your hue--whether it's natural or colored--has never been easier to do at home. Enter a new line from the experts at John Frieda, now available for pre-order (the line will be officially available in 2016) at target.com.

The lines, Brilliant Brunette and Sheer Blonde, are in-shower treatments. "You wash these on in the shower, leave them on for five minutes, rinse, and you'll have instant results. Your hair color will go one shade up or down depending on what you choose, and instantly look brighter or deeper and more rich and gorgeous. And they will work whether your hair is color treated or natural. It's a really great, easy pick-me-up," says Lustig.

Also, Brilliant Brunette offers a shampoo and conditioner that gradually deepen or brighten your hair color depending on the product you choose. "Kind of like the moisturizers with self-tanner that will gradually give you a tan, these will either gradually--as I said--brighten or deepen your hair color in the shower. So easy," explains Lustig. They're ok for every day use and are under $10.

Root Saver

When your roots are showing or you need to cover a few pesky grays there's no need to spend endless time and money at the salon. Instead, try John Frieda Root Blur Concealer, a powder that comes in two shades that let you customize a shade that will work with your roots to hide them flawlessly. It's simple to use, too: Brush it on and it stays put. No more roots, and the price is right at $19.99.

Go to target.com for these products to pre-order now, or look for them in-store in 2016.

Get Glowy Eyes

Says Lustig: "Black eyeliner, whether it's the holidays or any time of year is my instant pick-me-up. But a lot of us, including me, can make mistakes and it can look a little squiggly and messy. So what I like to do is use a metallic eyeliner or a metallic shadow pencil on top and that will blur out the mess and give you that flawless look and also give your eyes a highlighted, shimmery effect that's really pretty, glowy and modern."

A Blush Sandwich?

She also suggests creating a luminous, contoured look by using her "blush sandwhich" technique. It involves applying a bright blush on the center of your cheek, then sweeping a highlighter on the top of your cheek for a little luminosity. "That's the top bread. And then on the bottom you're going to use a bronzer. That's the bottom bread. Highlighting, and that's the luminous look, as well as contouring are so big right now and this allows you to do both in a natural way that gives you a beautiful, glowy cheek. Blend it all together and that's it. You look amazing, like a million bucks," she says.
