Star Magazine's Spring Beauty Forecast

Glam tools to get you warm-weather ready

From the LifeMinute team

With all of this cold weather, it's hard to believe that Spring is right around the corner. To get us feeling and looking our best for next season, Star Magazine's Cheryl Kramer Kaye shares what to stock up on.

When the sun starts shining on your locks this Spring, the last thing you want is your grey roots showing. "If you cannot get to the salon, there is a solution," says Kaye, "It's TouchBack QUIX, which is a temporary touch-up marker that uses real hair color, so it bonds really well to your hair." No harsh chemicals, peroxide or ammonia in this marker -- and it gives you 30 applications. Find all three shades -- light, medium and dark brown -- for $14.99 each, exclusively at Walgreens.

As the weather heats up and you start showing more skin, it's important that you feel confident. "Now, if you have skin imperfections like scars, then I really recommend that you try Merderma Advanced Scar Gel," suggests Kaye. It's the #1 doctor and pharmacist recommended brand for scars, and it's the first and only once-daily gel that is clinically shown to improve the overall appearance of scars. You can find it in the first aid aisle of your drugstore for around $20. Visit merderma.com for more information and to hear success stories.

One of the most important things you can do for your skin this Spring is to keep it clean, morning and night. Cetaphil is making it a lot easier with its Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths which remove dirt and makeup without irritation. "This is a great product for sensitive skin," Kaye says, "The towelettes themselves are super soft; they add moisture back into your skin, so you never get that stripped, uncomfortable dry feeling after using the cloth." Packaged in convenient little snap-close cases (perfect for tossing into your purse!), you can find the cleansing cloths for $5.99 at Walgreens.

"Now that your skin is clean, let's get it glowing and gorgeous," says Kaye, "I am loving the Lumene line -- its Bright Now Vitamin C collection." The line uses bioactive arctic cloudberry, encapsulated Vitamin C and lots of antioxidants to really keep skin clear and looking even. The latest addition to this line is a BB Serum, which uses light reflective particles to give you an instant radiance, as well as lots and lots of moisture. Find the collection, starting at $14.99, at CVS and Ulta stores.
