Whipping your home into shape doesn't have to require a big budget and oodles of time, according to home renovation expert Jonathan Scott. Yesterday he hosted Mr. Clean's first-ever Moving Institute to demonstrate the many ways the Magic Eraser can be used to give your home a 15-Minute Renovation (#15MinReno). So whether you're moving--July is peak moving season--or just want to get your place whipped into shape, here are Scott's #15MinReno Magic Eraser Extra Power tips:

1. Remove wall scuffs. "If you haven't used a Magic Eraser before, it's pretty straight forward. Some people may have to go to college to figure this out, but you dunk it in water and then you scrub it on the wall," he jokes. But the results are serious: "You can literally scrub as big a surface as you get messed up and you won't have to repaint," he says. Special guest and home dcor enthusiast Ashley Greene agrees. "I always have a ton of people over. I do barbeques and I have four dogs, so there are always smudges on my walls. It's much easier to use the Magic Eraser than to repaint," she says.

2. Revitalize an old bathtub. "If you have a beautiful old claw foot tub, but it looks dirty and dingy, many people think they have to pull it out and get rid of it and replace it. Not at all! You can bring it back to life, you can make it shine, you can almost make it look like it's been re-glazed but it hasn't been--it's just been cleaned with a Magic Eraser," he says. The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Extra Power also clean soap scum ring and built-up discoloration.

3. Clean up kid art. "If you have kids, and you think it's really cute to draw on the wall and write their height and everything, what the heck are you going to do when you move? All those memories are gone!" says Scott. Remove them with Mr. Clean Magic Eraser Extra Power, but be sure to snap a picture first for posterity! "Next time, frame a little cute ruler on the wall, so that you can take it with you when you go," advises Scott.
