Chris Tucker, Jessie J, Coco Rocha and more turned out to the 8th annual Delete Blood Cancer Gala honoring Evan Sohn and The Sohn Conference Foundation at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

"Delete Blood Cancer helps to raise awareness and find donors for people who need blood marrow transplants," said TV personality Kimberly Chandler.

To get involved, model Coco Rocha says, "All you have to do is do a swab and, in fact, that swab could save someone's life."

Only 4 out of 10 patients with blood cancer (leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma) find a donor for a life-saving transplant, so creating awareness is crucial.

"You know, me being a celebrity, I think it's a good opportunity to spread the word," said Chris Tucker, who co-hosted the event with board member Katharina Harf, "So I'm educating myself and, at the same time, I want to educate more people."

Model Julie Henderson was touched by the stories of people whose lives have been impacted by Delete Blood Cancer. "It just hit close to home, and I want to be a part of that," she said.

"Think of all the different types of cancers out there," says Rocha, "There isn't one cure or answer to that cancer, so it's a great event in that we're saving lives...we're raising money."

The money raised at this year's gala will help to register more than 46,000 new potential donors.
