Eva Longoria and JCPenney Celebrate Bed and Bath Additions to the Eva Longoria Home Collection

The actress tells us all about her newly added designs and offers up her own tips for getting your home ready for holiday entertaining

Actress Eva Longoria and JCPenney celebrated the unveiling of her newly added bedding and bath designs to the Eva Longoria Home Collection exclusively at JCPenney. We caught up with the beauty in LA to hear all about it.

"I am a very domestic person. I love being in my home I love cooking. I love being in my bedroom and reading so you know if you really think about the places you spend the most time in your life is hopefully your home," says Longoria.

"When I couldn't afford any curtains or bedding sets I would make them and I would sow them and I would sow curtains, I would sow throw pillows and that's really probably what inspired me to go one day I would love to do a home collection because I was so literate on textiles, on stitching, on beading, on adornments, so for me it was just a natural extension of what I wanted to do," she says.

The actress turned hostess with the mostess offered some tips on how to prep for entertaining guests during the holidays. She says you don't have to do a remodel to give a room an updated look.

"You can change a bedding and it changes the entire room. You can change your curtains, it changes the entire room," she says, "Whether it's the coloring or the patterns um so there's a very affordable way to create change in your bedrooms."

She said a key essential is an at home escape for those moments when you need a break.

"I am a huge bath taker I probably take baths four times a week. I just love to have that spa like experience in my home," she says, "I buy bath salts, I buy bath oils, I light candles. I always have fresh flowers in the house so there's so many things you can do in your home that makes it so comfy and cozy and it's really, truly, my home is an escape and that is how I like it to feel."

"You know people waste more time than they think. I'm really not a time waster," shes says, "I am very efficient, I love to use every minute of every day. I just learn to prioritize in the moment what is most important right now."
