Roger Waters, Bruce Springsteen, Jerry Seinfeld, John Stewart, Bill Cosby and Jim Gaffigan all performed at the 7th annual StandUp for Heroes Event on Wednesday at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. A charitable benefit that raises awareness and funds to support veterans and their families, started by the New York Comedy Festival (NYCF) and the Bob Woodruff Foundation (BWF).

"This is our annual Stand Up for Heroes Event where we raise money for the wounded soldiers coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan," said Caroline Hirsch founder and owner of the NY comedy club Carolines on Broadway and the NYCF.

In their seven years of partnering for this event the NYCF and BWF have raised over $16 million to support wounded vets and their families.

"Bob and Lee Woodruff put together a foundation and it's getting money and it's getting help and it's getting services to the people who need it the most...the people we owe the most too," said CNN journalist, Chris Cuomo.

But that's not all...Lee Woodruff and Style Expert Mary Alice Stephenson also created Style for Heroes, giving the vets and their loved ones a taste of the Hollywood high life. "We got to pamper and get red carpet ready all of the veterans tonight," says Stephenson.

The evening also saw some of the best performances in music and comedy.

"...there's been some mistake that I'm on this show but I like it," says comedian Jim Gaffigan who joins the greats on stage.

Gaffigan walked the red carpet alongside Larkin O'Hern of the U.S. Military who was looking forward to seeing him perform. "I'm also excited to see Bruce Springsteen," said O'Hern.

Pink Floyd's Roger Waters performed with his band made up of veterans on stage for the second year. "They're a great bunch of young men. I love them dearly," says Waters.
