Since the shows inception in 2002, AI has pretty much remained in the No. 1 spot. The show is now in its 11th season, so naturally, a few things have changed. Locke, who competed during the early years, came in 3rd place on Idol's second season. So, what does the alum think about the “new” 'American Idol’?
“It’s a great show and great things come of it,” she says.
Her advice for the newbies, “First and foremost, they need to have a great time because it will go by very, very fast,” says Locke.
