Harper's Bazaar Spring Style Guide

Famed stylist Anita Patrickson gives us a sneak peek of the season's chicest trends

From the LifeMinute team

Just in time for spring, famed stylist, Anita Patrickson shares the magazine's picks for Spring's chicest finds.

Black, White and Here to Stay

Anita says the classic color combo is going nowhere. But give the staple a modern twist, by mixing an array of fabrics and textures. She paired a tweed skirt and leather jacket with a coral clutch to give the look a pop of color and freshen it up for spring. Find it at lordandtaylor.com.

Fit and Flare Flatters

No matter what your body type, Anita says a fit and flare dress is a must for your closet. She loves NIC+ZOE's peach version paired with a jacket. "It's comfortable, she says, "it's just really lovely and a very feminine shape." Pick it up at nicandzoe.com

Flats Make a Comeback

Feet rejoice! Anita says flats are just as trendy as pumps this season. Harper's Bazaar collaborated with Stuart Weitzman to create their take on a sexy sandal for spring. Get them at shopbazaar.com/stewartweitzman.

Mix Match Jewelry

When it comes to accessories, it's all about mixing it up. Anita says a statement necklace is key. Her pick...a Le Vian bauble in radiant orchid, delicious Cotton Candy Amethyst, or Raspberry Rhodolite. For bracelets stack 'em up like the stars. "We've seen that all over the red carpet, Jennifer Lopez, Vanessa Hudgens everyone's been rocking it," says Anita. Once again it's a mixed metal story for the bangle bracelet trend...silver, pewter, rose gold. And buckle details are big. " You don't want it to be too matchy, matchy," says the stylist. Survival Skincare

Nothing is more On trend than flawless and healthy skin. To maintain skin's moisture as the seasons switch, Anita's favorite is La Prairie. "I'm such a fan of this product," she says "It's really hydrating." Their latest line Sailor Swiss Ice Crystal comes in a dry oil and cream. Anita likes to mix the two products, which contain the survival elements of Swiss mountain flowers and snow algae. It's a great way to shift your skin into spring. Got to leprairie.com.
