Fashion designers are always looking for inspiration and for the spring 2014 collections they used art, travel and a look back.

"It was about art and athletics. Imagine the body inside the garment and the whole collection is about movement, but there was still a great respect and inspiration from art," says Vera Wang.

Wang's looks include palazzo pants, sporty black and white combos and peek-a-boo mesh pieces. The dresses are like silky slips.

"It was fabulous. Oh my God. So beautiful flowy, I love the flowy capes. It was typical Vera. It started edgy and became flowy and feminine. It was beautiful," says Giuliana Rancic.

Catherine Malandrino takes the show to native France with a new twist nautical.

"On a boat in St. Tropez. I thought it was quite inspiring to do everyday clothes but clothes that are ready for performance too," says Malandrino.

Shorts team-up with striped shirts, sailboat prints and florals are big and breezy. The stand-out piece is a blue jumpsuit with droopy crotch.

"She's never trying to do fashion, she is fashion," says fan Mary J. Blige.

A-listers from all over filled the front rows at Wang's show.

"Her dresses are unbelievable and flowy and amazing and perfect," says actress Katie Cassidy.

And these designers never forget their girly side.

"It's real women's clothing the fabric drapes every so slightly over the curves, I mean it's femininity at it's best," says Taraji P Henson, actress.

At Jenny Packham a woman's body is also celebrated.

"She flatters a woman's curves and she really knows how to make a woman feel sexy but also very elegant," says Louise Roe, fashion journalist.

The clothing is also very vintage with washed out pinks and lots of gorgeous glitz.

"It's a period piece Eduardian but we are giving a nod to the 70s because we are creating volume and girls to keep it romantic but that volume and that shape is going to give it a 70s feel," says Jeanie Syfu, Hair Stylist.

Big, sexy hair and evening-centric gowns steal the show.

"Whether it's a bridal gown or a red carpet gown - no one else doe sit like her," adds Roe.

This Spring it's all about girls playing dress-up.
