From boho to tradional to ultra-glamorous, the week finished with disparate but complementary shows.

Known for her boho-boudoir vibe, Sui debuted at NYFW in 1991 and has amassed an intensely loyal following since, counting both fellow fashion stars and fashion lovers across the world among her loyal fanbase. This season saw models-of-the-moment Gigi Hadid and Tiana Tolstoi floating down her tropical-themed runway.

"I always love to see Anna's shows. She's a friend of mine and I always love to see what she does. I think she knows what women like to wear. She is feminine and always fun."

This was the eighth NYFW presentation for the brand, which is known for its classic-Americana styling (with unexpected, contemporary twists). "We like to think that J.Crew style should defy time and trends," says Jenna Lyons, President and Executive Creative Director.

"I loved all the sequins, especially the striped sequin long skirt and the plaid sequins. We say it's the 'year of the clavicle' so it's a lot of off-the-shoulder tops."

Favored by a galaxy of stars including Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Olivia Wilde, the high-end label was started by Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig in 2004.

"For Marchesa today we're going for whimsical but yet quite romantic inspiration. Some of the dresses we see from Marchesa, we see a lot of birds, a lot of florals. We did a little bun, then we created a low chignon. It reminds me of the wings of the birds."

Antonio Corral Calero, hair stylist

"It's all about gorgeous skin and a lip. So it results in this super-rich orchid-y type fushia."
