When it comes to beauty, you don't need a professional to look runway ready. Fashion expert Jill Martin shares the catwalk trends and how to get them at home.

Prep and Prime

Before you put on your makeup, get skin looking its best. "It's all about that prep to make our skin glow," says Jill, "You see behind the scenes, models are doing it all the time." Two products she loves for getting the job done come from the Lumene Bright Now collection. The Bright Now Visible Repair Tone Corrector helps to even out skin tone. "You put this all over your face...it repairs and brightens skin," says the expert, "It attacks those dark spots that we are all getting as we get older and boosts wrinkle fighting, so it's really an amazing item to start off with." They also have Bright Now Vitamin C Beauty Drops that work to brighten and improve moisture balance. Each package contains 28 capsules, just apply one a day to get skin looking gorgeous. "In a study, 92% of women said that in 28 days, they saw a difference," says Jill.

Go Bold with Jewel Tones

Jewel tones and deep colors dominated the Fall runways. Jill says when it comes to makeup, the Mary Kay Limited-Edition Midnight Jewels Collection, which captures the rich tones of gemstones, is a great and affordable way to get the look at home. The eye shadows come in a variety of color palettes, perfect for creating a dramatic smoky eye. Jill says, "Start light, then just build and blend, and build and blend. It's easier to add than to take off, so just make sure you start light and have fun with it." Remember, if you do a dark eye, go with a more matte, neutral lip. Jill loves Mary Kay's Semi-Matte Lipsticks. "They really give you moisture and long-lasting color," she says.

Accessorize with Nails

For a few seasons now, nails have been an accessory on their own. "You can use nail polish like you would use a bracelet, or a ring or necklace," says Jill. Mary Kay Nail Lacquer comes in a mix of matte and prismatic shades that allow you to try out the trends without overdoing it. Check out marykay.com for more.
