Vanessa Bruno Spring 2013 Paris Fashion Week: Saint Barts Bohemian

The queen of Bohemian style, fashion designer Vanessa Bruno stayed true to her signature savoir-fair for her Spring 2013 fashion show, but added a beachy twist. From the looks of some of her beautifully breezy day dresses, Bruno must have been dreaming about a romantic getaway. Saint Barts, maybe? Body-hugging languid shapes, accented with intricate eyelet cutouts, drop-waist hemlines or ladylike lace work created a wonderful haute hippie appeal. Bruno also presented some structured pieces at Paris Fashion Week, such as cropped trousers and several sharply cut blazers that could instantly pull together an otherwise loose and layered look--the trick to perfecting the urban boho balance. The color palette of Vanessa Bruno's Spring 2013 collection was predominantly a mix of feminine flesh-toned hues of rose, beige and cream, with a few strong brights like candy apple red and cornflower blue. For accessories, strappy gladiator booties with high wooden heels and soft slouchy macram purses carried by hand honed the cool girl appeal. Hair and makeup looked effortlessly polished. Loose, piece-y waves were paired with a soft matte complexion, pale rosy lips and barely-there eyes created that I-was-born-with-it beauty. Our final word: Saint Barts, here we come!
