Journalist and writer, Lisa Ling joins forces with Dove's(R) Self-Esteem Project to launch a major campaign, "Let's Make Girls Unstoppable" which encourages positive self-esteem amongst girls. The new mom spoke about the campaign at the 5th annual Mom 2.0 Summit, the place for moms to talk life, work, and inspirations in Laguna Beach, California.

"Dove(R) is one of the few brands that really is making a conscientious effort to change the lives of girls," says Ling.

Dove(R) global research has found that six in ten girls stop doing their favorite things because feel bad about what they look like. This troubling statistic has Ling considering how to change this within her own life.

"I think about my own daughter. And I'm going to try to do everything in my power to instill beauty and confidence in her," says Ling.

The "Let's Make Girls Unstoppable" campaign celebrates the girls who never stop doing what they love.

"When beauty is a source of confidence and not anxiety for girls they look at life differently," says Dove(R) Global Self-Esteem Ambassador, Jess Weiner.

The campaign aims to reach 15 million girls by 2015 with self-esteem programming and tools.

"If we can celebrate these girls who don't let anxiety about their looks hold them back then all girls will be inspired to do the things they love," says the Vice President of Unilever, Rob Candelino .
