Lifestyle expert and author, Elizabeth Mayhew has tips, tricks and must have advice to help us through it.

Green grass, warm breezes... spring is upon us, but unfortunately, so is allergy season and pollen counts are on the rise....in fact some say it could be the worst count on record. Many don't even realize that millions of seasonal allergen pollen grains get trapped in your clothes and are brought into your homes undetected everyday.

On a peak pollen day, a large t-shirt can trap up to 7 million pollen grains within 24 hrs. So, it's a good idea to be conscious about the laundry detergent you are using, all(R) Free Clear removes 99 percent of spring's #1 allergen, tree and grass pollen in every wash. Additionally, for those with sensitive skin, it is the #1 recommended detergent by dermatologists and allergists. It's hypo allergenic and is free of dyes and perfumes.

Also, it is important to keep a few things mind, when you are cleaning...use a damp mop or rag to remove dust. Never use a dry cloth because this just stirs up mite allergens. When you vacuum, make sure it has either a double-layered microfilter bag or a hepa filter to trap allergens that pass through a vacuum's exhaust. Wear a mask while vacuuming to avoid inhaling allergens, and stay out of the vacuumed area for 20 minutes to allow any dust and allergens to settle.

To tackle everyday allergens in your bedding, like dog and cat dander and dust mite matter...you should use a detergent- like all Free Clear, one that is specially formulated to remove everyday allergens. If possible, replace wall-to-wall carpets in bedrooms with bare floors.
