Thinking about a summer getaway but don't have the funds to make it happen? Don’t fret; lifestyle expert Amy Goodman brings us the latest and greatest ways to bring the vacation to you in four easy steps.

1. Bring the Outdoors In: Add in elements that remind you of a certain place, like seashells or plants to surround yourself with nature or things that remind you of the place you would like to go.

Amy’s Tip: “I love a nice shallow glass bowl filled with sand and dotted with seashells perhaps ones you’ve collected on a previous vacation, and using this as a really gorgeous centerpiece for dinging indoors or al fresco.”

2. Travel with Your Senses: scent is another great way to set the mood, and bring you right back to a place or time you remember or just wish you could visit.

Amy’s Tip: “Air Wick is a proud supporter of the National Parks Foundation, the official charity of America’s National Parks. Inspired by the natural elements found in the parks, and they've crafted a new line of fragrances for the home. Your senses will take you to the Grand Canyon with the smell of Cactus flower and warm breeze or even the Virgin Islands with scents of tropical plumeria and sweet honeysuckle. They are just amazing and come in scented oils, sprays, scented candles and diffusers”

3. Turn Your Bathroom into a Spa: If your favorite part of getting away is the pampering then another thing you can do is recreate a spa-like atmosphere in your bathroom.

Amy’s Tip: “Dim the lights and light some candles. Air Wick actually has a color-changing candle in a lavender fragrance that is very calming.”

4: Eliminate Distractions: Detach yourself from work, your computer and even your cell phone just like you were on a vacation.

Amy’s Tip: “Grab a comfy robe, some soft music, or a good book and soak yourself in a relaxing bubble bath. It’s amazing how that can just take you away and transport you into another place.”
