Baltimore's The Secret State

How many people can say Baltimore's rock-meets-DJ outfit The Secret State played on their couch? Now we can! The 5-member, self-described baby of "Coldplay mixed with a little bit of Deadmau5 and Linkin Park" are still hot on the trail of their hit gone viral, "The Biggest Mistake," and they sure proved it with their impromptu performance -- how lucky are we?

Frontman Daniel offered up a little insight on their girl-leaves-boy relationship song, and the guys talked high school (where Daniel, Joshua and Michael weren't exactly the best of friends just yet...), the songwriting process and, of course, the hit that put them on tours with heavyweights like Flo Rida.

And though they expressed shock over their "longevity ... and the passion that we have for music and what we do"... we're not at all surprised that it's working for them.
