When elite artists sit down to compare notes about their favorite products, it's time to put your phone down, take a seat and prepare to pay close attention. After all, these are the masters who, like Sir John (who is responsible for Beyoncés signature glow) and Mara Roszak, who works on a roster of A-list starlets including Rebecca Rittenhouse, create the breathtaking red carpet looks we aspire to recreate at home. Here they walk us through some of the trends from last Sunday's Emmys, and how to make them last.

Sir John:

So the makeup looks were great. But I want to bring you guys back to Sunday. Sunday was a massive heat wave here in Los Angeles. It was one of the hottest carpets on record. I was in a tuxedo, sweating. Everyone was very hot and uncomfortable on the carpet. One thing I want you ladies to take into consideration is when you want your makeup to stay on, when you want your look anchored for the long day that you have, setting spray is important. L'Oreal Paris Infallible Pro-Spray & Set Makeup Extender Setting Spray is awesome for keeping your look on, staying put. You're giving yourself almost a bulletproof face, if you will.

Mara:

Almost like a hairspray for your face.

Sir John:

Right. And this will ensure that no matter if you have to pick up your kids from day care, to soccer practice, to dinner with your friends or your husband you're not going to have to touch up as much. The goal is to be in a space where you're comfortable enough to let your face just go.

Now, onto eyes. There was a huge resurgence of eyes on the red carpet. Taraji P. Henson had a beautiful gunmetal smoky eye, and Amy Poehler had a gorgeous cat-eye graphic liner. And these are things that we see all the time on the red carpet. But you can also create these looks at home. So when you see these looks on the red carpet this is something you can introduce to your self or your friends by picking up a L'Oreal Paris Infallible Bronze Taupe Eyeshadow instead of a gunmetal. Applying it on the lid from lash line to crease and making sure you blend really well. The goal is to bring a little bit of that drama you see on the red carpet to an otherwise mundane makeup routine and bring a punch of punctuation. Wouldn't you say?

Mara:

Awesome. I can't wait to try those makeup looks. And I'm going to walk you though some of the red carpet hair trends that I saw. I saw some gorgeous updos like Naomi Watts', which was beautiful and effortless and tousled and textured. I personally got to create a gorgeous down style that was really fun and glamorous on Rebecca Rittenhouse. It was high shine, brushed out, glamorous waves. And truly the key product there, the tool that helps me create these styles and makes them last throughout the night is my L'Oreal Paris Elnett Hairspray. It's truly what seals these styles and helps them to hold. And so for you at home, if you have a gorgeous blowout that you want to last, or you're going to a wedding or event where you're going to be photographed, that is going to be your product to keep in your back pocket.

And also let's talk a little bit about high shine. I get asked all the time, 'what are you using on these celebrities on the red carpets where their hair looks so shiny and healthy and gorgeous'"? I truly finish almost every hairstyle with a shine spray. It's what gives the hair that healthy, gorgeous, almost freshly-colored look. I highly recommend L'Oreal Paris Sleek It Advanced Hair Style Strand Smoother Serum-Spray. It gives a really lightweight coating. Not a weighed down or greasy feeling texture at all. I also love L'Oreal Paris Advanced Haircare Nutri-Gloss Glossing Mist. Again, super lovely, nice, lightweight shine. I just can't say enough about these products. L'Oreal Elnett is part of the Icons Collection because it is iconic. It's available for you at Walgreens.
