Making Your House a Home

Fresh ideas to rejuvenate your space

From the Lifeminute team

Spring is a great time to rejuvenate your home and also freshen things up after the long winter season. Turn your home into a haven and bring comfort to the whole family. Lifestyle Expert, Amy Goodman offers up easy and wallet savvy ideas to get the job done.

A Touch of Outdoors, Inside

"Think of your home as a serene space," says Amy. Bring in fresh seasonal blooms from the garden to liven up any room and add a pop of color. You can also pick up some great greens and potted plants for an inside oasis.

Create a Fresh Vibe

Amy says candles and air fresheners can really create a different mood in any space. She's loving Airwick's Familiar Favorites Collection, which features scents inspired by their partnership with Snuggle, Cinnabon and Baby Magic. Each fragrance evokes an aroma and comfort from the home that we all love such as fresh clean laundry coming out of the dryer, a newborn baby's bath, or delicious baked goods. They also come in scented oils and fresh automatic refills that are just $5.99 each. Check out more at airwick.us/familiarfavorite.

Flip the Frames

"I love this idea of seasonally changing the photos in your frames on the wall," says Amy. In early spring you can try some black and white photos of the family and then switch it up with some of your favorite family vacation moments from last summer. Photo collages can also really bring a sense of warmth into the home.

Shine Some Light

Interior decorators will tell you that a room goes dead if you don't have the proper lighting. Amy suggests area lamps. You can place them around the room to create a nice soft light that adds comfort.
