Dave Mason, Traffic co-founder and Rock Hall of Famer, passes at 79
The English singer-songwriter died peacefully Sunday at his home in Gardnerville, Nevada. Mason first rose to prominence in 1967 when he formed Traffic alongside Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi, and Chris Wood. During his time with the band, he wrote enduring classics including “Feelin' Alright?” and “Hole in My Shoe,” songs that helped define the group’s eclectic sound. He went on to build a successful solo career, highlighted by the 1977 hit “We Just Disagree” and his acclaimed debut album Alone Together. Nicknamed the “Forrest Gump of Rock,” Mason’s career was marked by an extraordinary list of collaborations. He played on Jimi Hendrix’s version of “All Along the Watchtower,” contributed to George Harrison’s landmark album All Things Must Pass, and worked with icons including The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, and Eric Clapton. He also had a brief stint with Fleetwood Mac in the 1990s, appearing on their 1995 album Time. Mason was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 as a member of Traffic. He is survived by his wife, Winifred Wilson, and his daughter, Danielle.
Harry Styles and Zoë Kravitz spark engagement rumors
Harry Styles, 32, and Zoë Kravitz, 37—who have been romantically linked since August 2025—are fueling engagement speculation after being spotted together twice in London this week. Kravitz was first seen wearing a notably large diamond ring while grabbing coffee with Styles on April 19, and again on April 21, when the pair were photographed sharing their first public kiss. The sightings come shortly after Styles said in a March 2026 interview that he’s ready for a more grounded chapter of life and hopes to start a family. If the rumors prove true, it would mark Styles’ first engagement and Kravitz’s third; she was previously married to Karl Glusman and later engaged to Channing Tatum before their split in late 2024.
Michael biopic is facing backlash for omitting abuse allegations from Michael Jackson’s life
The upcoming film Michael, directed by Antoine Fuqua and backed by the Jackson estate, is drawing criticism ahead of its release for reportedly leaving out key controversies from Michael Jackson’s life. According to reports, earlier versions of the film included references to the 1993 allegations and subsequent legal battles, but those elements were ultimately removed. One factor appears to be a legal restriction tied to a settlement with accuser Jordan Chandler, which prohibits his depiction in future media—forcing significant revisions to the script. The film’s ending has also reportedly been reworked. Rather than addressing the later controversies, it now concludes with a performance from Jackson’s 1980s Bad Tour era, sidestepping the more complicated chapters of his life. Critics argue that by focusing primarily on Jackson’s achievements while omitting major allegations, the film presents an incomplete portrait of the artist. Michael is scheduled to hit theaters on April 24.
